Nina's Shabbat Motto
Shabbat is when I get to mimic the kohenim and become a kohenet, creating sacred space in my home and inviting the Shechinah to dwell in it with me. When I light the candles I send an invitation to Her to join me, and she accepts, coming to sit with me at my Shabbat table. Shabbat is when I build a mishkan and God dwells with me. Shabbat is a "sanctuary in time," if I allow it to be that. Shabbat is a time of connecting with community and coming home to my spiritual family.
