All you need to do is bring your desire to discuss how to create sacred space in your home on Shabbat. I'm am author working on a book on this topic, and I'd love to share what I've learned with you. So, join me at my table, and I'll share with you how to see our special mitzvah of lighting Shabbat candle as the creation of a mishkan or the building of a mikdash in which the Shechinah can dwell. And we will talk about seeing ourselves as those who have symbolically taken on the duties of the kohenim, the priests in the Temple, each Friday night as we light candles. In addition, we'll talk about how Friday night candle lighting can serve as our very own spiritual practice.
